Contribute Financially

"If you can't be on the front lines, fund those who are."

What J. Sai Deepak says

Treat 10% to 15% of your income as not belonging to you — directing it to causes that advance Dharma. If you cannot fight on the front lines, you should at least provide monetary backing to those who do.

Why this matters for the diaspora

Diaspora Hindus often earn well but give poorly — and when they give, it's often to generic charities rather than Dharmic causes. Meanwhile, every other community funds its own institutions systematically.

You don't need to start at 10%. Start at 1%. But start, and make it recurring. A standing order of £20/month to one credible organisation does more over 5 years than a one-time emotional donation of £200.

Three ways to start this week

  1. 1
    This week (10 min)

Calculate 1% of your monthly post-tax income. Pick one organisation from our directory.

  2. 2
    This month

Set up a monthly recurring donation — even £10 or $15 matters when multiplied across thousands of people.

  3. 3
    By 6 months

Increase to 5%. Review where it goes. Diversify across education, legal advocacy, and cultural preservation.
